Signing contracts

Contracts are concluded with domestic consumers of heat and (or) hot water, i.e. apartment owners, who are natural persons in apartment buildings, using and purchasing heat and (or) hot water for their household needs.

Necessary documents for concluding the contract:

For the apartment owner:

  • an identity document;
  • a document confirming the ownership of the premises (extract from the central data bank of the Real Estate Register of the Enterprise Register Center (VĮ Registrų centro Nekilnojamo turto registras));
  • a power of attorney (if the contract is signed by an authorized person);
  • acceptance – transfer deed (if such was signed between the seller and the buyer).

For the apartment tenant:

  • an identity document;
  • a copy of th decision of the city municipality on the granted residential area.

The Description of the Standard Conditions of the Heat Purchase and Sale Contracts (approved by the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania on August 7, 2012 by order no. 1-155) and the Description of Standard Conditions of Heat Purchase and Sale Contracts with Domestic Consumers (approved by the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Lithuania on September 7, 2012 by order no. 1-173) are valid, until contracts are signed according to the individually discussed conditions.

The State Price and Energy Commission has approved ten recommended methods of heat distribution, from which one must be chosen for the entire building.
